Privacy policy

Weekly Comic Studio is operated by Joshua Weekly in Texas, United States. This policy covers the Creator Library website, connected desktop app services, and social sign-in. Contact the operator through Support or at weeklyjo246@yahoo.com.

Information we receive

When you sign in, we receive an account identifier and basic profile information from the provider you choose. Google sign-in supplies your identifier, name and verified email address. Facebook sign-in requests public profile access; our login service retrieves your identifier and name. ChatGPT sign-in supplies account identity information. We do not receive your provider password. Google and Facebook access tokens are used during sign-in and are not stored by our login service.

We store your linked account identifiers, creator profile, uploaded profile image, submitted comics and publication metadata, comments, likes, follows, support requests, app connections, credit ledger and order records. Hosted AI requests send the prompts and reference materials you select to the AI provider. Files kept only in your local desktop project are not made public merely by signing in.

How information is used

We use account information to sign you in, connect your desktop app, keep your comics and credits attached to the correct account, prevent abuse, and provide support. Submitted content is processed to publish and moderate comics. Public creator profiles, approved comics and visible community contributions can be viewed by other people. Support messages, authentication records and payment records are not public profile content.

Google and Facebook account information is used for authentication and account management, not advertising, automatic social posting or training our own AI models. Connecting a social login does not grant permission to publish posts on that social account.

Service providers and disclosure

Our hosting infrastructure uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare. OpenAI processes selected hosted AI requests and content submitted for AI moderation; authorized human reviewers may also review submitted content. Square processes website payments. Microsoft handled earlier Store purchases; the app is currently distributed through the direct Windows download. Payment providers handle payment credentials under their own policies; our service keeps order, tax, fulfillment and credit records. Sign-in providers process their own login and consent activity.

Information may also be disclosed when necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to a valid legal request, investigate abuse, or protect users and the service. Service providers may process information outside your state or country.

Cookies, security and retention

We use cookies and similar browser storage for sign-in, login protection, preferences and account security. Social login sessions expire after seven days and pending login requests after ten minutes. Owner security uses separate authenticator verification and recognized-browser cookies. Hosting and abuse prevention may process request information such as IP addresses, timestamps and security logs.

Account and publication records remain while needed to operate the account and service. You can request deletion below. Some transaction, tax, fraud-prevention, legal and backup records may need to be retained after account deletion; they are restricted to those purposes. Deleting information from this service does not delete copies other people have independently downloaded or shared.

Reading and creator statistics

Your saved lists and account reading positions are private. The reader also records aggregate chapter activity using codes that change for each series and month. Creators can see monthly chapter starts, final-page reaches and return-reader counts only when a count reaches five. They cannot see reader names or individual reading records. Detailed statistical records older than the previous calendar month are removed when new activity is recorded. Identified bots, owner/creator activity and local testing are excluded. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control requests are excluded from these chapter statistics.

Your choices and requests

You can edit your creator profile, disconnect linked desktop apps, revoke Google or Facebook access through that provider, or request access, correction, removal of a social connection, or account deletion through our data-deletion instructions. We may verify ownership before acting. Revoking provider access alone does not delete your Weekly Comic Studio account or published comics.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and use the website or account notices for material changes. The effective date identifies the current policy.
